In the midst of a federal probe involving liquor sales and licenses in East St. Louis, Deputy Liquor Commissioner Walter Hill has been placed on administrative leave.

Mayor Alvin Parks confirmed the suspension Tuesday after a two-hour meeting with residents and business owners in the rotunda of the City Hall building, in which he discussed the federal raid of the mayor's office March 19.
